Directions by Road

Leave the M5 at Junction 2, then at the roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A4123. At Birchley Island roundabout take the 5th exit onto the A4123. At the Burnt Tree Island roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A461. At Castle Gate Island roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A459. Turn left into Tower Street. turn right into Priory Road then take the next left. Turn right into St James's Road and Dudley Town Hall is on your right.

Directions by Bus

Dudley Bus Station is a five minute walk from the Town Hall. Plan your journey using    Traveline West Midlands.

 

Directions by Train

The nearest stations are Dudley Port and Sandwell & Dudley. Plan your journey using  Network West Midlands.

 

Access into the Building

The main entrance is accessed via a total of 8 steps. The step height is ‘easy going’ and the treads are ‘suitable’. Wheelchair users and customers with limited mobility can access the Town Hall via the accessible entrance, which is situated to the right of the main entrance on St James's Road.

Car Parking

Limited public parking is available on surrounding streets.

The Ryemarket multi-storey car park in the middle of town has around 200 parking spaces available. This facility will not be available (other than by prior agreement) after the hours of 8.30pm Mon to Sat and 5pm on a Sunday.

The 90 space Church Street car park at the top of the High Street near Hagley Road has long stay capacity. In addition, the 52 space top level of Birmingham Street car park, which has Safer Parking accreditation, also has long stay spaces available. Both Church Street and Birmingham Street car parks are open 24/7.

 

Directions by Road

From the North: Exit the M5 at Junction 3 and follow signs for Kidderminster along the A456 for about 3 miles. At the lights, turn right along the A491 Stourbridge Road. At the island, bear left towards the town centre (A491). Join the ring road in the left-hand lane then move to the right-hand lane and follow the line of the buildings. Continue in the right-hand lane then take a sharp right signposted for the Shopping Centre / High Street to join the one-way system through the town centre. Continue along the High Street into Market Street and Stourbridge Town Hall is on your right.

From the South: Exit the M5 at Junction 4, follow the signs for Stourbridge and this will lead you directly to the A491. Proceed as above.

Stourbridge Interchange is a ten minute walk from the Town Hall. Plan your journey using Traveline West Midlands.

Access into the Building

The main Town Hall entrance is located in the Crown Centre. The entrance is level.

Car Parking

Public parking is available on the Pool Road multi-storey car park. Whilst this is a Pay and Display car park, parking is free for Blue Badge Holders. Parking for Blue Badge Holders is available with side transfer areas on multiple levels. Parking on Level 1 allows level pedestrian access within 50 metres of the Hall (at first floor level).

The car park is also served by an accessible passenger lift (including low level tactile controls, voice and visual floor indication) and a staircase. The staircase is ‘easy going’ and the treads are ‘suitable'. Landings are available. A colour contrasting handrail is provided on the outer side of the stairs. The stair nosings also contrast in colour.

Some customers with limited mobility prefer to access the Hall from the rear, via Pool Road, where it's possible to be dropped off and picked up. This must be arranged prior to your visit with Operations Manager Andrew Johnson - please call 01384 812814.

 

Directions by Road

Leave the M5 at Junction 3 heading towards Kidderminster. Take the 3rd exit off the roundabout onto the A456 (Manor Way) then continue for 1.3 miles. Take the 4th exit off the roundabout onto the A459 (Grange Road) then continue for 0.2 miles. Take the 3rd available left onto the A459 (Queensway) where the road splits, then continue for 0.1 miles. Take the 1st available right onto Pool Road into Birmingham Street. Turn left onto Bull Ring and left again onto Great Cornbow.

Directions by Train

The nearest station is Cradley Heath. Plan your journey using Network West Midlands.

 

Access into the Building

From Hagley Street, level access is available to Cornbow Hall’s main entrance lobby. A staircase leads from the lobby to the Main Hall, located on the first floor. The staircase, which has 23 steps, is divided by two intermediate landings. The step height is ‘steep’ and the treads are ‘suitable’. Colour contrasting handrails are available on both sides of the staircase. The stair nosings contrast in colour.

A secondary access to the Main Hall, suitable for wheelchair users, is available via a passenger lift in the Pool Road multi-storey car park, located to the rear of the main entrance. Exit the lift on Level 1. The passenger lift is suitable for 2 passengers. Low level tactile controls are provided. The lift has audible and visual floor announcements.

 

Also for people using the Pool Road multi-storey car park, parking on Level 1 gives level pedestrian access to the secondary Cornbow Hall entrance.
