Join the Gig Caritas Orchestra for a powerful and uplifting musical journey, culminating in Sibelius' Symphony No. 2 - a work that moves from shadow into blazing light, carrying listeners from uncertainty to triumph in one of the most thrilling finales in all orchestral music.
The programme opens with Beethoven's dramatic Coriolan Overture, full of tension and intensity, and continues with Bruch's much-loved Violin Concerto No. 1, performed by Berri Munn, whose warmth and lyricism bring this romantic masterpiece vividly to life.
Under the direction of Keith Horsfall, the orchestra brings together a rich palette of colour and emotion, guiding audiences through music that is at once deeply expressive and powerfully uplifting.
As part of the Classical Chills series, this concert is presented in support of Kids Clothes Project, a local charity providing packs of good-quality, pre-loved clothing to children who need them most. For many families facing hardship, these simple essentials can make a profound difference - helping children feel warm, confident, and ready to thrive.

Gig Caritas is a dynamic non-profit arts organisation based in Stourbridge, founded in 2012 with a simple but powerful mission: to raise money for local charities through high-quality musical performances. Driven by the ethos "Good Causes, Great Music", Gig Caritas brings together a diverse community of performers - many of them professional musicians or music educators - who all give their time and talent freely to support worthy local causes. These events are designed to entertain while also highlighting the incredible musical talent within the region.
We present a varied programme of concerts throughout the year, ranging from orchestral and classical events to big band, choral, and contemporary programmes, and smaller events in the community. Its core team, led by chair Keith Horsfall, works alongside a wide network of contributors to deliver events that not only entertain but make a real difference to the community. Whether you're attending a concert, performing on stage, or supporting behind the scenes, Gig Caritas is proof that when great music meets a good cause, something truly special happens.
