THE UK's QUEEN OF SOUL announces CHRISTMAS HOMETOWN SHOW

 

Jaki Graham - affectionally known as 'The UK's Queen of Soul' - has announced a special hometown Christmas show at Dudley Town Hall on Friday 20 December 2024, where she will be accompanied by her full 7-piece UK touring band.

 

This show will represent Jaki's first local headline show for over 3 years and culminates a year's work of playing as special guest to legendary Soul artistes such as Alexander O'Neal, Shalamar and Loose Ends.

 

Now, as Jaki says, it's time to 'Step Right Up' and take the headline spot herself!

 

And she won't be short of material to thrill the Dudley crowd with. Notably in 1987 Jaki was the first UK Black Female Soul artist to have 6 consecutive Top 10/20 hits with Could It Be I'm Falling in Love, Round and Around, Mated, Set Me Free, Breaking Away and Step Right Up - a record that still stands to this day!

 

Jaki also enjoyed a #1 hit in the USA R&B chart in 1994 with her version of Chaka Khan's classic Ain't Nobody - a highlight of her current set!
